Stephen Cooke Organs is a well established and highly regarded organ building firm in the Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire area. 

The guiding principle of the firm’s work, whether on new organs, restorations or simple tuning & maintenance, is to achieve the most effective musical results possible - always working within the original concept of the instrument, the musical requirements of the church or building, and constraints of budget and common sense. 

Musicality extends far beyond sound itself, and into the controllability and comfort of playing an organ.  Stephen and his staff are all first class organists and have freelance careers as players.  Consequently, the adjustment of mechanical moving parts is of utmost importance to achieve a light, sensitive and even response akin to when the organ was new.  Our preferred action type is mechanical; however, we are also extremely experienced with large pneumatic, electropneumatic and unit organs, and various types of soundboard. We feel able to achieve the best musical results from all situations.
